I am Caryn A. Blum, a Christian woman artist educator born and raised in the greater Milwaukee suburbs. I have lived and worked in nearly every type of school community, and my primary mission is to create and work developing artist education programming for children. I have earned a B.F.A in Fine Arts Painting from The Rhode Island School of Design in 2007, and an MA in Education from Seton Hall University in 2009. I hold dual D.P.I. Art teacher certification for PK-12 schools in the state of Wisconsin, and the state of New Jersey. I have lived and worked as a Visual Artist and PK-12th grade Art teacher since 2007. I have taught in L.S., M.S., and U.S. schools (Lower, Middle and Upper Schools). I am a published children’s book author, and have shown and sold my art nationwide from 2000-2026. My published artworks have been commissioned by artists, musicians, schools and education corporations. I love teaching children, and enabling kids to develop creativity and imagination through a wide variety of Visual Art mediums. Check out my Artist Educator page for more details on my artist CV and to connect about classes or commissions. I earned a merit based scholarship to attend art school, and have lived and worked as an elementary art teacher who truly believes in helping kids enjoy visual art and creative expression since 2007. My work explores themes of the natural world, childhood, art education concepts, and explorations of fantasy VS realism in Visual Art. I create drawing, painting, animation, illustration, board games, playscapes, small scale sculptures, and musical instruments for original composed music scores in stop-motion animation.
